Upcoming Actress Accuses Mercy Johnson of Using 'juju' to Get Movie Roles

Mercy Johnson is one of the most hardworking actress in Nollywood and I believe she has paid her dues in the industry. Unfortunately, she is always in bed with controversies and negativity.

In 2009, the actress was accused of stealing four thousand Euro (£4,000) while on a Europe tour. The news of her alleged involvement in the missing money saga made her lose a deal worth millions  with telecommunications gaint, Globacom. The actress was also accused of being fetish and involving in diverse abortion that year.

The mother of all the controversies that have trailed the actress was the husband snatching saga that played it's way on social and print media prior to her August 2011 grand wedding. After the wedding, Mercy became more family oriented but controversies always do have a way with her. Just recently, she was accused of beefing colleague chioma chukwuka; let's not forget the infamous Tonto Dike and Mercy Johnson's fued.

One rumour that have consistently trail the screen goddess  is her 'alleged' involvement in voodoo. Year back it was alleged that she did introduce her colleagues, Tonto Dike and Ini Edo to her charm priest and the duo tried to outsmart her, hence the reason for their fued.

Few days ago, multi media personality, Uti Nwanchukwu posted a photo with the screen goddess on Instagram which was taken on set of Jara TV show  and a lady who claims to be an upcoming actress accused the superstar of using 'juju'. In her words; Mercy Johnson it seems your 'juju' for movie roles has failed, you now jump from one interview set to another.

This bring me to one very important question; Why is success in Africa always tied to charms, voodoo or being fetish? I do not know mercy personally, but I know she is not a greenhorn in the movie industry; she has paid her dues.  Truth is Ms johnson is a hard worker and go-getter.I don't understand why  people just sit and imagine things. If these allegations are not figments of some people's imagination, why aren't they backed with proofs?

I believe the sky is big enough for all star to shine. Instead of digging holes in people's reputation, we should learn to light up people's life with positivity. Can we all carry your candle of hope and go light up the world!
