Nigerians seriously have no chills! I was surfing the net earlier today and saw lovely photos of Tiwa Savage and Toolz getting their nails done in Dubai ahead of Toolz's wedding ceremony which is taking place at the Arab Emirates over the weekend. The harmless photos brought the troll out and it was 90% negativity.
The media critics called Toolz foolish for inviting her friend, Tiwa Savage to her wedding as they believed Ms Tiwa will jinx Toolz's wedding. Others vented their frustration on Tiwa. They called Ms Savage 'shameless' for daring to attend a destination wedding in Dubai; same place the ceremony of her crashed marriage held.
I couldn't bring myself to go through the weird comments and unnecessary 'bashing' of the young lady as I was utterly disgusted. Who shames a lady because of her failed marriage? Truth is nobody weds to divorce but when the center can no longer hold water, the best option might be to walk away.
Shaming of female divorcee is the major reason most African women endure abuse in their marriages and it's so unfortunate that young Nigerians are taking routes which should be totally avoided.
Thankfully, Ms Savage is a strong woman who truly knows what she wants and I believe she wouldn't allow mere words of the 'faceless' critics get to her.
Social media critics should know that life doesn't give us the luxury of certainty, hence the reason why wisdom should be applied when criticizing. A word is enough for the wise!
